The grand champion rabbit at the 2018 Inter-State Fair in Coffeyville belonged to Bryson Phillips.
Phillips, the three-year-old son of Krissy Phillips and Benjamin Haddox, showed his six-month-old mini rex named Rex.
This is the second year that Bryson is showing rabbits in Coffeyville, and he showed two of them.
He gets help and advice with his rabbits from his dad’s sister, Lisbeth, and his grandmother, Berneta Haddox.
He also enjoys riding horses and playing with his cars.
Having the rabbits is good for him, his mother said. He has learned how to brush and feed them, and loves going to the fair with them.
In addition to the rabbit show, Bryson will attend the demo derby on Saturday night, to watch his dad drive his demo car.
Reserve champion went to Simmone Bias, Welch, Okla.
The rabbit show is sponsored by the Coffeyville Rotary Club and DC Juntiques. The judge was R.C. Crowe, Fordland, Mo.
