Gary and Brenda’s story began in high school, where they met and eventually married. Now celebrating 37 years of marriage, they’ve built a beautiful life together. They have one son, Dillon, a daughter-in-law, Alyssa, and a cherished granddaughter, Rory.
Dillon and Alyssa share a passion for livestock, having shown animals at the Interstate Fair and numerous shows across the country. It’s a tradition rooted in hard work and family values.
Years of Dedication
Gary and Brenda have made a lasting impact on the local community through years of volunteer work and leadership:
- 4-H Leadership: They ran a 4-H club in Mound Valley for over 10 years, guiding and inspiring countless young people.
- Interstate Fair & Rodeo: Together, they’ve volunteered at the fair for 18 years.
- Gary has served as the Sheep and Goat Superintendent for more than 15 years.
- Brenda has handled livestock show entries and computer work for over a decade, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Beyond the Fairgrounds
When they’re not volunteering, Gary and Brenda enjoy fishing and camping with their family and friends. Above all, they treasure every moment spent with their granddaughter, Rory.
Their legacy of service, dedication, and love for family continues to enrich the community and the Inter-State Fair and Rodeo!
